I have been married to artist, George Mauersberger for 22 years and we live on the near west side in the Clifton/Edgewater area of Cleveland. Our house is our studios. While my husband is Chair of the Art Department at Cleveland State University, I'm busy traveling to teach Intuitive hand stitching and/or creating commissions for hospitals and hotels in the USA.

I am a conceptual artist and make work using textiles, found materials, paper and paint to create artwork that range from small and intimate to room-sized installations. My work is featured in private and public collections, and has been published several international books about textiles as well as various print, video, and online publications.
I teach workshops in hand stitching from Vancouver, BC to Switzerland and throughout the USA.
In 2018 will have 2 large installation artworks: one in Northern Ireland and another the CAN Triennial in Cleveland.

I've won fellowships and grants, including the Ohio Arts Council Award of Individual Excellence, a $20,000 Creative Workforce Fellowship, and a Windgate Craft Artist Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center. I live and create in my native Cleveland, Ohio less than ten miles away from the Slovak civic club where my parents went dancing every Saturday night when I was a young child.
